It's worth every minute of getting lost to find the low-key Bar do Museu, located on the second floor of an office building with I.D. required for entrance. The dark, authentically old-time bar was once a classy, members-only watering hole for the Association of Friends of the Museum of Modern Art. Today the bar is a separate entity but maintains the spirit of those carefree days, from the lush, den-like atmosphere to the poor-man's drink prices—caipirinhas go for R$4.
