One of Liberdade's busiest ramen houses resembles a textbook Japanese eatery, with seating at the counter, lucky cat and light wood throughout. Crabby service is forgotten when indulgently slurping in an order of pork- or chicken-broth-based noodles, fresh and made to order in a variety of sizes and toppings. The lunch rush is to be blamed on the wrinkly Japanese and Chinese businesspeople in the area; at dinner, curse the long line of overly gleeful students. Everyone goes for the gyoza as the starter.
