The small hippie town Embu das Artes’ cobblestone streets are lined with colorful colonial houses turned ateliers and shops that cater to Paulistanos wanting artesinal items such as handcrafted wood furniture and fine wall art. Everything centers on the weekend art fair in the Largo 21 de Abril square. Grab the blue bus maked “Embu Engenho Velho” from Largo da Batata in Pinheiros for a 30-minute ride there.
