Starchitect Isay Weinfeld must gave imagined Sao Paulo Fashion Week models and their groupies cavorting here when designing catwalk ramp leading into converted house, complete with mirrored corridor for last-minute touchups before diners enter into narrow dining room with bar and counter so long and sexy it almost hurts. Gray walls with mirrored, inset cutouts are highlighted by hidden back lights in soft, skin-flattering yellow, and are bookended by ceiling-to-floor window showcasing forest garden that gives patrons sunken in butter leather sofa-banquettes that jungle-hideaway feel. Low-key all the way, with the loudest spark coming from flavor of updated Brazilian standards, like coxinhas with sweet and spicy dipping sauce and pasta filled with brie and drizzled in truffle oil. Drinks are mixed by master barman from Esch Cafe, whose pours make the place's signature drink with sake and cointreau, martinis like the Casino Royale and sake-laced Afrodite top faves. Stellar service for that R$200 drink minimum, and reservations are absolutely required.
