For more than two decades, this bank-funded cultural space has been promoting the Brazilian arts, neatly packaging them into interactive and other diverse shows, cultural events and multimedia shows that even appear on Brazilian TV and other cultural locations across the country. Its back catalog brags an events list of over 2,000 beginning from its humble origins, a feat that has earned it such a heady rep that it puts on exhibitions in other countries, including the Reina Sophia Museum in Madrid. The tall skyscraper hosts classes as well—albeit in Portuguese—so you'll likely be heading straight to the art, located on a sub-level and always with free entrance. Photo: Crispin Cairns
